Still in the hospital

Sidharth is still in the hospital recovering from his second surgery in four days.

The surgery took longer than expected as retina in the left eye was severely damaged. Dr. Trese diligently cleaned and reattached the retina to the eyeball. He will do the post-examination tomorrow. We will have more information then.

It was a pretty tough day for Sidharth. He has bandages over both his eyes and his elbows have been restrained so that he does not rub or pull the bandages and hurt his eyes. The bandages will probably be on his eyes for the next two or three weeks. Sridhar said that the baby crying all day and was unable to eat properly probably because of pain and trauma. The main surgical procedures have now been performed. Please pray for his speedy and successful recovery. As I said before, it is too early to know the extent of vision Sidharth has gained as a result of this surgical procedure.
